Partnership Academy

The Partnership Academy provides networking, training and support to all those involved in building better partnerships between business, the public services and the voluntary and community sector to achieve sustainable Neighbourhood Renewal.

Business in the Community has been brokering business-community partnerships for over 20 years and the Partnership Academy’s service is based on solid experience. Between 2002 and 2005 we worked with the Government to support pilot business brokers whose aim was to increase business engagement in Local Strategic Partnerships and Neighbourhood Renewal. The Partnership Academy's services are now being made available beyond the 10 pilot areas. Find out more about the Business Broker Pilot and view our publication on the role of business in neighbourhood renewal.

The Partnership Academy & Business Brokers programme is part of Business in the Community's wider work in regeneration, aiming to increase the strategic impact and scale of business support for regeneration and neighbourhood renewal.

The Partnership Academy's work is led by Business in the Community's Business Action on Economic Renewal Team and is currently funded by the Department of Communities and Local Government.

Services for business

Brokering business engagement can be a lonely business which is why the Partnership Academy runs a Business Broker Network. This brings brokers together to share knowledge and experience and offers a range of other practical benefits including a newsletter, free telephone helpline providing general advice, tools and support materials and a web-based library of useful resources.

Services for Local Strategic Partnerships (LSPs)
